The Psychological First Aid (PFA) is the first service in Italy dedicated to promptly respond to any request for psychological support, open all year round including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 9 am to 7.30 pm. It is a rapidly expanding reality in the Roman area, and it offers a psychological service to individuals, couples, families, social groups, private and public companies going through periods of distress, uncertainty or of difficutly. PFA consists of a systematic set of helping actions aimed to reducing psychological distress and supporting short and long term adaptive functioning.

The PFA staff is composed by Italian, English, Spanish and French speaking psychologists offering psychological listening and intervention in the main languages of the European community. The international area has a significant and growing number of international agreements: the Australian Embassy in Rome and the United Nations (UN), just to mention two of the most recent. The PFA is located within the international gold standard for the psychological intervention for individuals and families up to international institutions involved in the management of social relations at a global level.
